29 gallon light setup suggestions

I have a 29 gal tank that has been set-up for about 5 years. First I used flourescent lamps, now I am using 2-50/50 65 watt bulbs in a coralife hood. I want to be able to put more types of corals in this tank. Does anyone have any suggestions for an inexpensive (relatively speaking) light set up. This tank is filtered with a Fluval 305 and I am running a Prizm skimmer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind I do not want to get too technical.

THanks,

That lighting should be fine for soft corals. What kinds of corals did you want to keep?

I like all types of corals...I also wanted to keep some of those gorgeous clams. I guess I just wanted to be able to keep anything I wanted

The higher-light animals require fairly expensive lighting. I use a 175 W Iwasaki bulb in a Lumen Max pendant, for example. Some of the better T5 setups, the ones with a reflector for each bulb, would be fine as well.

I have a 29 with a single halide pendant. If I were to do it again, I would get a dual halide setup for better light coverage.
