To fix or not to fix

I have an SWC skimmer purchased some yrs back. Before all the legal issues. It’s not even listed on their website anymore. It’s the extreme cone 160. Always did a good job imo but I’m no guru like a lot of guys here. Long and short of is it crapped out yesterday. Stuck my hand in the sump and got the sh!t shocked out of me. Luckily it didn’t seem to affect the fish at all. I guess because they’re not grounded? Electricity isn’t my niche. Anyway I see on here that people replace skimmer pumps all the time. There are no parts listed on the website at all. So my questions are: should i buy a new pump and where would I buy such a pump or just shop for a new unit.

Quick google shows that skimmer uses a Sicce PSK2500 needlewheel pump that you can get for $113 on ebay or other sites..

should be a simple swap..

Decisions decisions. Pump for 113 or cough a lung on a new ro. I think I’ll attemp to tear the one I have apart and look for something simple. It still runs perfect so I’m guessing that means it’s a ground issue. Might be easy
