30 gal garbage can

Will this work to qt fish?

What are you going to use for a filter/nitrifying bacteria?

Something needed for filtration.

Something needed for heat regulation.

Otherwise, sure, you can use a garbage can. Its a PITA to get a fish out of, if you have any amount of 'debris' in it.

for the price of a garbage can you can go out and buy a 20 gallon tank
