Refugium DYI

Hey all,

I want to build an acrylic refugium for my 125 acrylic tank. Does anyone have any ideas on how big i can go and or can send me pics to get some inspiration?

Refugium DYI

Are you talking about just a refugium for macro-algae or a refugium/sump to house everything. Skimmers pumps ....Either way bigger is better so base the size on what will fit in the area you have to house it be it a stand or a room. Look at existing designs as there are many. I would think 40 gallons should be the basis for your cubic volume if you are talking sump. and most sumps are 15" tall and 16" in depth the width is up to you
