PLEASE HELP! What’s going on with Kurt, my clownfish!?

What’s going on with my clown, Kurt? Is it ich? Brooklynella?
I’d post the video I took but can’t so this is a snap from the video.

Looks like final stages brook. Not much you can do at this point, sorry.

Yah.. he’s lying at the bottom being munched in by my shrimp and hermit. What a bummer.

What other fish do you have in this tank?

Stay away from the retail source for this particular clown.

I have one other clown, that I’ve had for just under a year, a Watchman Goby and a royal gramma, for fish and one large cleaner shrimp, two little ones, two emeralds, one electric blue hermit and some snails.

The other clown looks fine and I’ve had her and her first mate for just under a year, like I said. Kurt 1 died a month or so ago and I got Kurt about a month ago from Big Al’s. He was all good until about four days ago.

Where would I buy an ocellaris from online? Kijiji? A specific online store?

Your best source for disease-free clown would be a local breeder. Ask your local reef club. If nobody is breeding clowns in your area, there are semi-commercial breeders dedicated to clowns only.
But wait for a few weeks to add any new fish. Make sure your current fishies are not infected with brook. Rapid breathing and swimming at 45 degrees are usually the first signs.

Awesome thanks!

So I’m checking Goldie out today (yes, my fish were named Goldie and Kurt lol) and there is a spot on her tail and she has very tiny white dots on her back, maybe 5-6. You can only really see the spots when the lights are blue though. Should I be treating her for it? And how the hell do I do that? I’ve seen a lot of opinions and I’m now confused. Thanks google.

Update pic. Is this spot on her tail the start of brooklynella?! I laugh every time trying to take pictures of them. So hard!

I dont think so. Watch the gills.

That spot is most likely a sting from your torch coral. Also, emeralds are not good company for clowns. They can nip at fins at night while clowns are in a coma.
