Unless you have your biocube drilled and plumbed to a sump, you can’t put a filter sock on it. You can use an inTank media basket though and put filter floss or fine polishing fiber pads in the top camber. That will effectively work like a filter sock. In fact I like that more as it doesn’t need to get washed and you can dump it out. You can run other media like carbon or gfo in other chambers if you need it. Just in bags obviously.

@ilyad: that is exactly what I do. Heater and modified biocube skimmer in chamber 1. Intank media basket with floss, purigen bag, carbon bag, and phosguard bag, and then Intank fuge basket with chaeto in chamber 2. Half the OEM black sponge, return pump, and ATO sensor in chamber 3.
3 gallons of water change weekly. New carbon and phosguard biweekly, and new purigen when it turns brown. Happy fish, happy inverts, happy coral, lots of coralline. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk |

No. I have the Steve's LEDs upgrade and I switched to a Sicce 1.5 return pump. I might get the 2.0 if I was going to do it again (the flow is adjustable and it would be nice to have excess capacity.
Sorry for the slow response; I was away and out of communication for a while. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk |

No worries. Over the last 3 weeks, we decided to upgrade from the Bio-cube to the Waterbox 70.2 plus. (And what an upgrade it is!) Of course because of this a filter sock is no longer a problem for us. I did design one and used it for a couple of weeks, made from a filter sock from a Redsea nano sock, I think. It was just a matter of heating and bending the acrylic clips to make it useable in the cube.

Can you take a pic of the back of your tank? I’m curious how it looks. I don’t think I’m picturing how it looks in my head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
