Calcium/Alkalinity Balance Chart
Hey guys like most people i'm trying to get this figured out lol. At some point I saw a chart, that I thought was from Randy Holmes, that showed what he said was a good balanced Calcium level for each Alk level and vice versa.
Does anyone know where that chart is at? I've looked up a ton of articles and haven't been able to locate it again. Thanks for any help. Tim Lindenhurst, Illinois |

I see "balanced Ca/alk" mentioned quite a bit.
I'm not sure it matters, as long as both are within range. dKH 7-11, Ca 400-480ppm. Mcgyvr and others have any opinions on this?

I certainly do not worry about this "balance" and I'm able to keep a tank alive just fine..

Thanks guys.
I probably should just leave the tank alone for a couple weeks. My calcium is at 475 so i'm going to target 8.5 Alk and leave it alone and see what happens. |

Dose based on rate of consumption for each. The dosing amounts may not be balanced and that's OK.
