Curious, how are clams aquacultured

Seen a lot of the large clams sold are aquacultured. Just curious how this is done, is it pretty much only done in the Pacific being done in the ocean? Also, I believe these are pretty slow growing, approx how old is a 4-6" clam?

There’s a number of great videos on YouTube that describe exactly the process for the giant clam aqua culture. I’d post links but I don’t know if that’s allowed. Just search for them and you’ll find plenty.
