DC24 Connector Type
Has anyone identified the type of connector on the DC24 to Bare Wire Accessory Cable? I am interested in trying to DIY one, but haven't found an equivalent connector yet.

We actually sell a DIY cable. It has the connector on one end and bare wires on the other. https://www.neptunesystems.com/cables/

Thanks for the quick reply Terence. I do realize that and have already purchased one from BRS. I was just curious about the connector type is so I could make my second one.

I think it's an RJ11 or RJ12 phone type connector.

No, its more like a molex nano fit style connector, but it is not. I looked through their product page and couldn't match it, but that doesn't mean I did not miss it. This is what it looks like:

I'm tagging along here. I follow someone on Facebook that is making an optical sensor adapter that attaches to the DOS. I'd like to ask if they happen to know.

So I came across this connector on Steve's LEDs.
2 Pin Micro Molex Connector I ordered a couple to see if they will work. That being said they don't call out the dimensions of the connectors so I don't know if they will fit or not. I also couldn't match it up with the micro fit connectors on the molex web site.

I checked there but didn't find one that matched up. I may have figured out why. I was looking for single row receptacles. I found this under dual row receptacles.
Dual Row Receptacle If you look at the 2 circuit version that may be it. I should get what I ordered this weekend and will update with what I find.

Yep, that is what I found and if you go to the drawings and download that on the same link I sent, it has all the dimensions you can measure to make sure it matches what you have there to connect to.

I got the connectors today and I can confirm they do work. They are Molex part number 43025-0200. Below is the link for their page on the Molex website.
Micro-Fit 3.0™ Receptacle Housing, Dual Row, 2 Circuits, Halogen Free Hopefully this helps others looking to make up their own.

Yes the pins were included. I used a Klein crimper for terminals. You can use 20-24 gauge wire with them.

Thanks guys. I bought qty 5 of these connectors with pins for a total (shipping included) for $4.97. This is MUCH BETTER than the $18 a piece that Apex is trying to gouge us.

In their defense, the cable is pretty nice and has a nice moulded end around the plug.

Ok. True. Molded end is better. If DIY, the pin that you need to crimp down is so small that ordinary crimper will not do it. You need some "engineer micro connector crimpers" which is not cheap (on amazon $43.) Also whatever you are trying to make connection to, make sure the wires are not just 2 strands of hair (like the $3 24V siren I bought off ebay.)

Anyone knows which pin is positive? The one near the clip?

Ok. Negative is near the clip. You need this info when you make the connections.

I believe this may be a 2 Pin PCIE connector from a computer power supply but I have not tried one. However I recommend buying the aped cables for anything critical as I have had and seen many failues on DIY cables.

Reviving an old thread....It's definitely a Molex connector like this one. If you scroll down further you can get the mated connector for it as well. Keep in mind that this particular connector you have to purchase the pins for (Also at the bottom of the page).
I made a set of connectors because I couldn't get any cable longer than 10'. Just keep in mind that if it's longer than the specified 10' you're going to be dealing with excessive resistance and voltage drop. Plus you run the risk of destroying the apex or module you're using.
