Whats the interest in a Temp/pH monitor with WiFi for under $100?
Im dealing with a US company that makes data monitors. They currently make a temperature monitor that logs all the temps at whatever interval you choose. Its also connected via wifi and can send alerts via email or for $1.99/mth text if parameters are out of your set limit.
It sounds like they're willing to build one that will also do temp and pH monitoring and logging that will have the same features. They asked what price would be fair and I said under $100. Just trying to gauge interest in such a "budget" unit. I know Apex, ReefKeeper, ReefAngel can all do this but it comes at a higher price point. This would just be for monitoring/logging of temp and pH at a fairly economical price. What are peoples thoughts? |

I would be interested in that. I could do without the text alerts, but the data logging would be great.

I would buy one.
Would prefer if I could hit a RESTful API on the probe as a wifi device say over at my own polling rate. But I could hack something together to import the email data.. |
