Filter socks

My question is aimed towards an aquaforest representative.
Does AF have a view on the uses of filter socks? I have heard lots of the pros and cons put out there but wondered if AF actually has a prefered method. Do you guys run them on your tanks at coral farm and your display tanks?

I am an authorized Aquaforest Representative and yes I use filter socks on all of my tanks.

I believe that you can have success with or without filter socks. But you do need nutrient export methods is place. Depending on what type of system your running I'd say for the majority of tanks , filter socks are a good idea.
