7.5 gallon pennplax radius nano build

I started a new nano. Had the tank for a while, finally decided to set it up.

Gear list:
7.5 gallon pennplax radius all glass aquarium with curved front corners.
Coral box moon led.
Coralife marine power filter with buult in skimmer.
Pennplax cascade 10 gallon heater.
Finnex hang on breeder box(to be converted into refugium.)
Small UPS battery backup.

I had some dry rock that I had been hanging on to, but I purchased a cured live purple reef saver rock and a couple of smaller cured live rocks. Its probably 4 or 5 pounds total. I used reef putty to stick the 3 main rocks together. I had some leftover sand I used, no idea what brand.

Currently I have the light on a day night cycle and have started phantom feeding. I'm dosing seachem stability and fritz zyme daily to try and establish biological filter more quickly. I'm going to utilize some seachem matrix in the refugium and power filter so I started soaking a bag of it. I introduced a couple of cheap kenya tree and xenia frag on isolated rocks. The kenya tree seems fine, xenia not so much. An astrea snail hitchhiked. I introduced a colony of copepods as well.

(Pictures coming)

One of the copepods found a pellet of spectrum and was enjoying itself.

Nice set-up! Your xenia's gonna love it. After populating to the desired colony I had to trim mine back about once a month. Free frags for your friends!
FYI, my long-term success in a nano has been large, frequent WC's (every two weeks). Params stay stable after bioload has settled-out. Good luck

I sprayed the breeder box with black krylon fusion 2 days ago. It still smells chemically so I will not be putting it on the aquarium just yet. The heatsink either didn't come with screws or i lost them, will have to try and find some replacements at ace hardware. Have to find my soldering iron.
