Thanks again.
There should not be any issue but you can use siporax alternatively and stack them in your sump. They work quite well once established with bacterial colonies.
AF is a bacterial driven system and your system is quite new. So, it will take few months to establish the bacterial colonies and reduce the NO3 load. In the mean time try to feed less if possible so the NO3 level don't go all out.

Hi Anirban,

My expensive doser the software could not dose every other day. Can you believe that??? Is it possible I could dose 1/2 dose on everyday for ABVE?

Thanks,

Hey, if I remember correctly you have a core 5th doser. It can dose on alternate days. Open the doser software and then go to advanced dose. There you can programme which days of week you want the pumps to dose.

Ohh man .......I hate Pacific sun for these silly issues. Outstanding products with such a poor software support. Thats why I stop using the doser. In that case I will say you can try 1/2 or 1/3 dose to start with but keep an close eye on the progress.

yeah I know, I have this product for 3 months now and still, couldn't use it. First, the sw is so buggy and hard to use. Crashing constantly lol. Then finally they actually implemented a good number of suggestions to improve the product tremendously from UX perspective. But the latest software lacking the Stirrer and simple custom dosing like every other day. Which is what I really need to dose AquaForest ABVE. Oh well, I have been waiting, I will be patiently waiting some more :-).

Hello, As soon as the bottles of Triton are on, I switch to AquaForest. I have made a schedule how to start. Is this correct or should I do it differently?
I replace the triton for AF 123, start with pro bio s and np pro to get ulns.
Once it's ulns I start with half doses with abev.
Is this right?

Is it necessary to use a reactor with phosphate minus and zeomix? Or can you stay ulns with np pro as well?

Thanx!!!

Hi Anirban,

Can't find the dosing instruction for NP Pro 2000 ml. Could you please give me some advice on this?

Thanks!

Hi for the 2000ml version you need to dose 5 ml per 27G or 100L.

Thank you Anirban for your quick support. My friend also gave me 2000ml containers of Component A,B,C. Could I use that if I am using Component 1+2+3?

You can not use them together as they contain similar elements but once you are done with component 123 then you can start component abc.

Hi Anirban,

Thanks for your reply. Another question that I got confused with others too that I am dosing Pro Bio S. My understanding is that these are bacterias. I do have media in my sump like MarinePure BioMedia which bacterias suppose to grow on. So why is that I continue to dose Pro Bio S everyday? I understand that NP Pro is food source so that I dose everyday but why Pro Bio S?

Thanks!

You are right. The only reason to do so is some bacteria are removed by skimming and dosing replenish it back. But the bacteria also multiply so you can skip the daily dosing once you have a mature colony of bacteria and they are performing well for you. But till then try to dose regularly.

I am now dosing a week with np pro and pro bio s. My phosphate value has fallen well to 0.012 only me nitrate is still quite high, namely 4. The vodka method is not recommended.
What should I do now and when should I go to doses a, b, e, v?

Hi Anirban,

For the last few weeks my chalices are slowly dying off from the rim. What's causing this? Perhaps too much Pro Bio S bacterias? Time to stop dosing it?

You can dose B, E and V as recommended but amino(A) may be once a week till the NO3 fall a bit more.

I will first need your tank parameters. The basic 3 and nutrient levels before I comment on anything.

I now dose 3 drops of np pro and pro bios for 2 weeks now. In the meantime I removed the algae refuge due to the Triton method. Tomorrow I will start with component 123 because my triton dose is emty.
I still struggle with po4 and no3. Po4 is 0.046 and no3 is 5. Should I continue or do I have to try something else to get ulns

It will take time depending on the system to reach ULNS. For some its a month and for others its few months. It also depends on feeding habits. Triton depends heavily on fuge and even if you feed more your nutrient stay low but now without the fuge you need to really control your feeding habits if you wish to reach ULNS.

Okay,
So I just have to continue with what I do and do not use zeomix and phosphate minus yet?

Because it is not yet ulns, do I have to dose Af a,b,e,v?

You can use zeomix and phosphate minus but start with half the recommended amount.

I will suggest start using the ABEV once you reach ULNS.

Hi I'm Korean...
So I am not accustomed to English.
I have been using AF Probiotic Reef Salt for the last 2 months.
And using multi reactor (Zeo Mix, Phosphate Minus, Carbon)
micro & supplement is not dosing yet.
Now 10 coral and 5 fishes. 45gal tank.

I'm questions.
Why calcium value 500ppm? Also Mg 1500ppm
No3 0, Po4 0. 7dKH
