Help identify these?

Can anyone identify the polyps in the picture? They were on an oyster shell in Port St. Joe, Florida. I found them while snorkeling and brought them home and added them to my tank. I have never seen any like them. I called them polyps I know they are not but they resemble a coral polyp and wanted to know if anyone could identify them. Any help appreciated.

I believe they are gastropoda egg cases, I can’t remember which species but I want to say Tulip snails.

I appreciate the anywers! I could find no information without a name of course. I found this board and joined. Thanks everyone for the help. I started my first tank in 97 but only recently had the time to set up another one. I started it last year and like to add unusual finds I encounter. I found a huge conch shell while snorkeling and had a hard time cleaning it out but a beautiful decoration for the tank. The clowns love it along with several others. Thanks for the input everone!

Just out of curiosity were those dark spots in the middle hollow? In other words could you have stuck a toothpick or something similar down in them?
