They came over and set up one of the first ones and tested it for several weeks. I didn't do the full beta testing. I had a lot going on over the last year and a half. The guys did actually spend a tank maintenance day with me. They were here like 5 hours to learn about how I run the tank. We also went and took a tour of the company highway 1 accelerator. Very cool concept.

Good video, I've seen some others made by Thomas Brown and he always does a good job.
Loved the views of your tank, the talk about the old clowns, best part of course. I think your skimmer is bigger than my sump.

Yeah, Thomas did a really nice job. I do have a very large skimmer, but it makes my life much easier. The clown fish are the best. They are often the reason people get into this hobby. My maroon is quite a beauty.

Been a long time since I have taken a video of the tank. Changed the aquascape a bit after the tank crash, to fill in, and feature more LPS and softies. Took out about 100lbs of live rock to open things up a bit. Tank is recovering nicely. Hope you enjoy the new video. Thanks.

much needed update...
Thanks Zack, you are right, it has been too long since I have made an update. I am much better about updating to my local club, but often forget to update here. I have taken several pics of the tank over the last few months. I will share those with you. The video I posted a few months ago is also current. I subscribed to your new build. Looks really nice, congrats!
Anyway, here are some recent pics of the tank. .....Stuff is doing very well, good growth rates and color. Feeling very good about the new, more open scape. SPS are filling in nicely......not what it was before the crash, but it's a happy tank, so I'm happy.

These first two are the same coral. Second was taken with a top down porthole. Beautiful blue!! It's an A. Vilada
My oldest chalice.....OG Mummy eye. It's now morphing color....check out all the color in this ONE eye. AMAZING!! My starry blenny likes to chill on the clam. These next two are Red planets. Both were one frag when I got them. I split them into two, and placed them in different spots in the tank. The first is directly under an A360 narrow...about 10" under water, the second is off to the side of a narrow, and catching some rays from a kessil wide. Amazing the different coloration of the same coral, under different conditions. I geek out on stuff like this. LOL!

Kris, it excites me knowing that everything is doing so well and that you continue being the high level curator with the same enthusiasm you had at day one.
Keep up the good work! That many on this and other forums appreciate to see.

I agree, I was shocked to hear they closed. I am so happy with this tank, and it was very reasonably priced compared to many out there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This is quite the thread. Did my best to read all of it...
Great tank! Sucked about the calcium reactor but you have appeared to bounce right back. Couple questions? What settings do you run the Kessils on? Both intensity and color? I have three 360's on a 48" tank and I'm struggling to get things to take off like you have. Also, what are you tank parameters related to alk, Ca, and Mg? Curious as to what you've been shooting for. Lastly, lets see some update pics

So it's been over a year since we've heard anything? How's everything going, and can you share pictures of the growth over this last year?
Also wondering how you like the Kessil lights since you've been running them? |

I had the pleasure of seeing this tank in person last month. It really is one of those tanks that you need to see in person to fully appreciate it. Colones are huge and colors are great.

Wish I could see it. It's been one of those tanks that I always think about when working on my own. One day I will be able to accomplish something as nice as this.
