As long as the precipitate is removed in some way, the SeaKlear should be fine to use. I'd prefer to use it in a curing tank or at least break down the system to allow a good rinsing. That might kill off some of the bacteria, but the rock seem to recover very quickly if the time out of the water is brief. That doesn't hold for live rock, because it can contain sponges and other organisms.
