Hard to tell from the photo. Try dipping it & see what comes off. Also, if you have magnifying loupes look at the base where's there dead tissue or the plug for orange color egg clusters.

I can't see any orange cluster of eggs. Should I do a freshwater dip or Bayer dip to see if they come off. I just got it from a lfs, thinking about giving them a call if I can get a more confident ID

Sure, but not my personal preference. One of the reasons I do not like Bayer is because it's milky white & makes it difficult to the see the worms. I use melafix personally. Or any of the dips sold works as well.

for me i dont care where the frag comes from, cut base or any bare off and dips. (revive + iodide)

You cannot look for the actual acropora eating flatworm on the coral you have to dip it to see the actual flatworms. They hide to well. Unless you k is what your looking for or have macro pics you or no one here can give you a positive I'd.
Also don't freshwater dip acros it stresses them out too much, or kills them. I am with melafix as well, or revive.

I'd be pretty suspicious, but generally with AEFW you'll see areas with lots of little circular/oval bite marks at the edges of tissue dying off. I don't see any bites like that.

I always break the corals like this off the base, inspect both the plug and the base of the coral for eggs, and then dip in bayer. Since the bayer is cloudy I always pour the dip liquid into a clear container and look up into the light to check for AEFWs.

At this point personally I'll put the frags in QT, but for a small frag like this there really isn't much place for the AEFW to hide. A proper dip will kill all the live ones and a small frag like this is pretty easy to fully examine for eggs (though get that plug off, AEFW love laying the eggs at the base where they are really hard to see).

Nothing looks like AEFW bites or eggs to me on that frag.

If you plan to keep the base superglue over it To seal anyeggs.

I always cut off the frag and toss the base even though it's wasteful. I do this to all frags, not just the ones I'm suspicious of. After that, I do a 15-20 bayer dip and use a magnifying glass to see if there are eggs. If I see indication of eggs, into the trash the entire thing goes....

Just to add another thought, how many acros do you have currently? If it's a packed tank and you haven't dealt with aefw before, you should read as much as possible. Even find someone who has them so they can show you in person what to look for. I know so many people who used the clip and dip method and still got aefw. Most of the time people get them because they don't really know what to look for and they put trust into vendors that they think always have clean coral.
