Protection cap on a Jebao wavemaker ?
Do anyone know or where to get a protection cap that would go over the output part on a wavemaker ? The PP 20 I have is big and my smaller fish get inside the pump when it shuts off then when it comes on they get killed

Seems most just cobble something up from plastic mesh/gutter guard or 3d print their own..
Or just don't stop the pump.. The ocean doesn't stop I'd post links to various ones I've found but they are all on other reef sites and this site blocks those otherwise helpful links.. So just do a google images search for "jebao powerhead guard" and enjoy..

I watched my orange/red spotted blenny dart into my powerhead just the other day. If I hadn't been there right that moment, she'd have been toast.
The powerhead no longer shuts off.

any shield you add to a pump will reduce the flow considerably.
your best option is to run the pump at slowest speed while feeding or just don't turn the pump off at all. |
