Yep it grew alittle started to encrust, but color is just starting to come around now in the new tank. I cant wait for a couple months now to see where it is, in the new tank things are starting to grow already.

I'm reviving this thread from the dead. I picked up a frag of this quite a while ago and it's finally starting to color up and take off. You can see the intense coloration on the tips. It seems like it finally found it's happy place.....I'm hoping the growth starts to take off now.

Okay if you're going to dust it off, I'll play. I've been growing the Upscales Microclados and like it a lot. It grows fairly fast for me!

Is the Upscales Microclados essentially the same as the ReefReady Grape Juice Acro? I have the Grape Juice and it looks almost identical. Am I right on this or are they completely different species of acropora?

Under LEDs. Placement is on top of the rockwork.
This coral needs lots of light to color up to its full potential.

This coral looks much better under lower K lighting. Back when lots of guys ran 10k halides this coral (or generic version) was bright yellow, blue polyps, with peach tips. It is still nice looking green under blue lighting though.

Will have to agree with Jackson, most upscales I see these days are a greenish color. The best one I saw was actually under a t5 tank sitting directly under the light, best coloration I've seen of this coral to date. |
