Is Sugru reef safe?
I just saw this in popular science and thought it might make a great frag mount if it doesn't nuke the tank.
Any thoughts?

Hadn't heard of it before, but found this looking on their site: https://sugru.com/questions/hi-is-su...corals-inverts
Seems they don't recommend it.

I would lean towards no. I have used it to waterproof some wired connections for security cameras I have outside. It never 100% solidifies, It still is slightly bendy and it completely stains your hands as you mold it, even more so than any reef epoxy does. I wouldn't trust it in a reef at all. However, for around the house, it's a fantastic product.

It's supposed to become a cured silicone "rubber".

The problem is that we don't know what's in it. Personally, I wouldn't trust it at all, but it might be safe. The company site doesn't have any information on aquarium use, as far as I can tell.

That's why the risk takers (or irresponsible reef keepers) help us all learn... I don't like being the guinea pig but someone has to.
How about this - anyone just tried it in water? In a shower?

I’ve used it to repair interior parts of a dishwasher. It holds up very well. I’ve also repaired a couple Fitbit’s and charging cords with it.
