For the nano models, the bracket accommodates rims up to 3/4", so you will want to measure the thickness of the container.

hmmm these look interesting!!

guessing there .5 watt leds?

you say there 50% more light than the competition what are you comparing them to?
in the video I believe you said there is red but in the product description it says yellow?
why no UV?

any video coming out of the light controller? can these be hooked up to apex ReefKeeper or Reefangel?

looking for a light for a 20L 30x13x13 guessing the 36W 24 to 36" model would do the trick.

how about a par map...

thanks MD

Thinking about using one of these on a shallow 13" Frag tank for SPS. Will this be adequate lighting for acros in a shallow tank?

  1. Yes, 0.5 Watt LEDs
  2. Compared to other LED strip lights on the market
  3. Sorry about that! The colors listed above were in the models we beta tested. We actually worked with AquaMaxx to update the LED colors to what we felt reefers would prefer. The colors are now white, cool white, blue, deep blue, red and green (no UV).
  4. It is our understanding AquaMaxx is working on their own detailed video on how to use the controller to program the lights. Currently, none of the AquaMaxx light fixtures are Apex Ready.
  5. The 36 Watt (24-36") model is 19.7" long and would be the best choice if you use the included tank mounts. The next size up, the 54 Watt model, has adjustable legs that fit tanks 36-48", but the fixture itself is only 31.5" if you wanted to suspend it with a hanging kit.
  6. The manufacturer has not provided us with a PAR reading map, but we will update the product page as soon as it becomes available. Reef Builders took some measurements in a recent product review. I am unable to include a link to RB from RC for whatever reason, but just Google: "AquaMaxx NemoLight LED review Pt 2, how it looks over corals" and it should come up for you.

The NemoLight would be an acceptable lighting solution for your shallow frag tank. As you know, acros are best cared for by advanced aquarists and require strong lights to keep them thriving and growing. NemoLights are designed for mixed reefs with medium to low light requirement corals. However, we have successfully grown SPS with them and with a tank as shallow as yours, it should be just fine.
