Need help choosing 120 gallon tank

I am in the market for a 120, this would be my first. Any suggestions? Money is a factor, so cheaper but good quality is a must. The one i am currently looking at is the SC Aquariums 120. Thanks for any advice.

I would get a standard I drilled tank from your LFS. This will allow you to put the drains not only where (I prefer center overflows) you want them and also of a size that is actually useful. IMHO , “reef ready “ tanks are anything but.

I'd run from SC just because their website sucks (I think its fairly new too.. ) puke...

I'm quite happy with my Deep Blue tank.. But I drilled it myself and beaned it..

+1 I purchased my drilled 150g from my LFS with stand and canopy - and everything to go with it, sump, Apex, light.. etc. I know you said money is an issue, often a LFS will work with you because they know they are going to be getting more business from you. Its often less expensive then a custom shop too.

Low budget. Look used and buy quality. I won't name manufacturers but do some research your LFS probably sells a quality tank, so that might be a brand you want to look for.

Also, this is not an cheap hobby but can be enjoyed inexpensively - depending on what you want to raise. SPS, as an example, are not cheap.= nor inexpensive

Look in the local classifieds for someone getting out. Some good deals out there. Good luck!

Love my SCA, think they are best deal for money, and great customer service.

They do custom drill and overflows if you want

Check the SCA owners thread here, tons of happy SCA owners
