MP10 Quiet Drive

Just purchased an brand new MP10 Quiet Drive expecting...... ? You guessed it a quiet power head. To the contrary it’s not very quiet and is certainly louder than a Jecod and Reef Maker powerhead. Not what I expected. Is this normal?, if so then it’s back to the LFS.

While they aren’t silent, they are generally pretty quiet. If you don’t use the spacer (if the glass is thin) and or don’t have the wet side aligned properly to the dryside, they will be noisy. Aligning the wet side properly is absolutely critical though.

Give it some time to break in. Sometimes they make a little noise. They are typically very quiet.
