Cool, what type of tang is that? I'm still watching for updates on your tank, and still got my 20L up and running too.

Phil

I believe he/she is a Lavender Tang ... Ctenochaetus nigrofuscus.

The fish has been colouring up very nicely since I got him... I bought him a from a fairly poor LF that didn't know what he was - I am glad that he is with me now.

So do you still have the 15gal up and running, or is it the sump now?

Phil

I've actually dropped the 20G (and the 15G, I never ended up getting that one wet) and I have set up a 75G with a 35G sump!

So, tangs away.

To be honest, I didn't mention that I had upgraded because I was hoping someone would pounce all over me for having a tang in a 20G... petty huh?

It's going well yet it still needs a lot of work.... It's not my dream tank just yet.

Thanks Phil

My 20 gal's doing pretty good. Still battling turf algae, but that's a mixed blessing since it keeps my nitrate and phosephate down. My yellow headed antenna goby went carpet surfing last summer, and my rainfords died this fall. So I've added the Springeri dottyback you see in my Avatar now. Just installed an auto top off system last week, and its working wonderfully. I've got a 29 I want to drill for an overflow and upgrade to that, and a second 20 long to use as a sump for it. I'll start a thread for that project when I get to it.

Phil

I thought you had the 15 set up in your dorm a year ago?

Phil

With some help, my tang has been identified as a Ctenochaetus striatus or Striated Tang.. Unfortunately he may be an aggressive fish in time. This may explain the loss of a Kole tang I had with him...

That's right I did. I decided to "get out of the hobby" in the spring. I moved houses and was unsure about my plans for the next few years.

I'm still unsure about those plans, however I decided to start back up again. I got to cooking my LR (I held on to all of my equipment) and now here I am! It's keeping me entertained for now

Oh, and it wasn't a dorm room. I lived in a house, with a few other guys.
