New XR30W PRO

Took the Light out of the box, plugged it in Lights up works great. Mount it over the tank. Go into the office to download the EcoSmart onto my macbook to program it and notice the fan is running very fast, yet it's only been on for a couple of minutes. I go back to the tank to find the fan running and no lights. Tried powering it off, nothing. Unplugged it, plugged it back in the fan comes on without powering it up and no lights. Unplug it again for a longer period of time, hold down a button while its powered off to maybe discharge the board, plug it back in and same thing.

Finished downloading EcoSmart hoping its a setup issue but the laptop doesn't respond to the light being plugged into it.

Any suggestions?

Yes, if the light powers on.

They are taking care of it.

After your detailed description of your problem, I missed the main issue, that your lights weren't working.
I apologize.
All I saw was you were concerned that the fan was running and I saw something about the light not being on.
I saw a few other threads where others were concerned about the fans running all the time and skipped the rest of your details.
I guess I should make sure I finish at least one cup of coffee before trying to answer anything in the morning.
Glad ETM is taking care of you.

Same thing happened to my unit. Sent them a mail on Monday and still waiting for a response. Did they tell you what was wrong?

No they just got mine back today. I knew something wasn't right when the instructions kept talking about indicator lights and I couldn't find any. Didn't realize it was the non lit buttons.

I have to say, I am so impressed with it versus the Kessil 360TUNA

I have the Kessil 360 Tuna as well. Replacing the 4 Tunas with 3 Kessil XR30W Pro. The Kessils keep going out and after 2 years the dimming via Apex stopped working and now they randomly come on. And with 1 out of 3 going out after 2 days, if these goes out, I'm going back to MH.
