I love your fish only tank! You have a very nice selection of tangs and angels. What are the dimensions on that tank?

Thank you tahiriqbal!
Indeed, the view is good considering that the building is among small houses.

I don't know yet what kind of natural light I will have with the solatubes but we will see....

Also, do you have some layout or drawing of the final plan for this project. Obviously you are working with an interior designer, architect, engineer or something of this sort. What's the final project scheduled to look like? Give us an idea of where this is headed. Give us a sneak peek of the process. I mean we know you didn't just walk in to your LFS and say, "I'd like to buy a 1350 tank, what do you have in stock?" LOL!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

Yes, the small room behind the tank is going to be the technical room. I hope everything will fit in there because is not that big.

Sorry but I don't have a plan of this project yet. First I have to finish the apartment and after the tank. At least that's what my wife said

I have a few plans of the apartment just to give you an idea of how is going to look:

About the LFS and the buy was something like you said.

1350 seems to be a popular number these days!

I'm interested to know on the slab strengthening done to a pre-existing apartment block?
I'm assuming the tank wont end up falling through!

You speak true...big relief.
After months of waiting for the glass, any accident would have been a dissapointmet ( I order the glass in China because in Romania I couldn't find white glass and in Germany was too expansive).

Nice tank!
Easy when are only parts, all together have about 4000lbs only the glass.
What was your tank's weight? Just curious.
Thanks!

Very interesting question!
The building is new and I knew before the slab that is going to be an aquarium there.

I contact the structure guy that has made the plans for the entire building and he gave me exactly what I have to do.

Your presumtion is good. The total weight is big:

Glass- 4000lbs
Metal stand- 1100lbs
Water- about 11000lbs
Live rock- 2200lbs
Sand- 400lbs
Furniture and small parts- 400lbs

So only the tank is about 19000lbs (8.6t)
Thank you!

If you talk to the builder in advance there won't be any problems. At least that's what I hope

Thank you for your concern
