Hi there,
last weekend I made a little video of the tank, after I upgraded the lighting. Now I have 2x250W MH and 8x54W T5. Current is created by two Venotec Abyzz 200 running in separate closed loop systems and two older Tunze Streams (I think they are 7200, but I am not sure).http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t...t=DSCF2370.mp4 Before I put the new light system onto the tank, I used the opportunity to move a few corals around and to reposition the large clam. A 35" high tank is great to look at, but a real pain to work on, especially right at the bottom. After I had no success with my tools, I grabbed mask and snorkel and went in. Cheers Jens |

I'm glad to see someone with a shoal of half 'n' halfs. They are among my favourites in a reef tank, though I'm more familiar with seeing them with SPS corals. Everything is looking good! Thx for sharing. Dave.M

Ok Jens, it has been almost a year since your last post. Did the clam try to eat you when you snorkeled in your reef?
How is it going? This is an amazing reef that most of us can only dream of building. Where are you at in the process? How is the life in your tank? |

Here's a little video of my tank. I had quite some issues last year and lost most of my SPS. Everything is recovering quite nicely now.

Very nice.
Just a suggestion here, it seemed that flow was a little slow on the right hand side of the tank. excellent job, interesting looking tank : ) |

The tank is looking very well. You must be doing something right. Would you care to share some of the problems you had and what you did to fix them?

Thank you for all your friendly comments.
@Ldagger: The tank has 4 pumps, two closed loops with an Abyzz A200 each, and two older Tunze Streams. They run in alternating pairs. When I shot the video this side of the tank happened to have its "quiet" time. @dave.m: The problems were a mixture of several issues, one of them my lack of care due to way too much traveling. The last two years I was out of the country for at least 100 days each year. @leveldrummer: The screens are made by the German company Aquadriver. They also make these fabulous Skim Cleaners for the BK skimmers. The screens are machined individually from a solid plate. You can order them through their webshop http://www.aquadriver.de/content/shop.htm Look for "Sonderkämme" |
