Lighting for 120
Hi, I might be getting a 120 gallon and was wondering if three AI prime HD’s and 4 t-5s mounted in the Aquatic life hybrid would be enough light to grow sps corals.
Thanks |

I would say yes. The 4 t-5 bulbs will support about 50% of the lighting needs and the 3 additional fixtures should carry the rest easily. Keep in mind if this has a cross brace the center fixture will be obscured and partially wasted, in that case you may want to think about going to 2 26's instead.

So, I have a 120 mixed reef-no SPS-4' long and 24" deep. If I wanted to go AI, would 2 x Hydra 26 be the way to go? Could I get away with 2 x HD Prime? I do have a brace down the middle of the tank.

Thanks for the reply. From my research, I think 2 x 26HD's will be fine. Am looking at the 52's but think for my purposes, it may be more than I need.
