Curious though as the PPM ALK checker is +5 or 5%, where the DKH checker only has a .03 margin of error. Which did you have?
And I have done back to back tests multiple times, they pretty much come up the same number within the margin of error(If I get an 8, the next test might be 7.8 or 8.3). Not enough to cause me concern.

Got kg director dialed in this weekend. Still need to do true calibration to some dkh calibration fluid I have but it matches red sea and salifert now.
Gyre 330 is dialed in as well. Had to lower lights on frag tank some as I was washing out sps. Might need to lower more but we shall see how things progress. So I have not been testing tank recently till I got kh director (laziness is main reason I got it) and here my alk was hovering around 10!!! Wow. Here my ph probe in calrx needed calibrated again and was melting my media. In fixing that and reloading media I decided to clean out my vertex calrx. In cleaning it i couldn't get the POS pump to connect to the one fitting. Vertex decided to be aholes and mount a weird fitting instead of a normal union. So new o ring and a good amount of silicone grease and its finally back in order after a day messing with it. On other pain in behind news I got in the kamour pump but a tiny fitting was busted and as such I cant set it up till fixed. Send pics to BRS so hopefully quickly rectified so I can swap pumps. Also thinking of moving this thread to the other forum for more traction. I get pinged a lot on FB by other SCA customers who all seemingly are on clay-boa.... Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

I find myself spending more and more time over there. It's just sooooo dead around here anymore. Some threads go for days before it gets answered or even looked at.

To be honest I only follow a few threads with this being one of them because of the interaction and knowledge.

Very nice looking tank indeed! What lights are you using on your display tank?

Sadly the same. I have to update my thread, though frankly other than killing a bunch of corals, I haven't been up to much.

Lately I've given my Melanarus 3 peppermint shrimp before any of them had a chance to eat any of my Aiptasia. They each lasted less than 8 hours. A very costly set of meals I might add at $8 a pop

Soulpatch, you have an online storefront yet?
I'm feeling the need to add a few more colorful acros so I'm putting out feelers to different reefing friends. |
