That looks pretty damn good! I say that as I'm wiping the slobber off my keyboard.

I'm thinking I can run my second drain right along side that one but the 3rd will be a problem. I might have to run spa flex for that one. Anyone know if they make that in red anywhere?

Something like that will glue fine? Even with the large gaps between the ridges?

The outside has ridges but I believe the inside is smooth. Clamps not glue probably. It's made for vacuum so it has to be able to seal around a nipple of some sort.

It's taking longer than expected to get this thing going but I got all my drains fitted up. I ran out of fittings to be able to finish my returns. I should get it all finished this weekend

I got a chance to see this beauty this weekend, helped its rightful owner install and assemble the reactors, pumps, skimmer and pump controllers.

Essentially it is a 7c, thought the skimmer and pumps were changed some.

In the above, the skimmer is a DeLuxe 200, and a single RD3 230w for return and media reactors. Very sweet system.

Here's a picture of mine when I installed it 3 years ago:

I've just taken down my tank and cleaned up the dream box ready for a house move. It's cleaned up as good as the day I bought it which isn't bad considering it's in my garage so not the best of environments.

I even built a matching calcium reactor out of a RE 150 multi-filter. It's the best calcium reactor I ever used. I ran it for the last 2 years and just unscrewed the lid every couple of months and threw in more media. Never cleaned it or messed around with CO2 air-locks like with my old Deltec PF601. Such a simple design but so effective.

Will be nice once they get here to the US...

But by that time, I will probably have my new aquarium up and running and it will be too late for me...

Don't wait, order it now and in a few months you'll have one.
If you are waiting for them to be available in the US, remember that you'll still have to pay shipping from RE USA to you which will probably be close to the shipping price from Germany.
Overall, I don't think the price is outrageous considering the cost of all the components and having everything in one package.
Sure, you could buy cheaper components.....but then I doubt you would have been considering a Dreambox anyway.

lol, have you seen the prices people in here stated they paid for shipping from Germany?

$2,000-$2,300 - the few that stated the cost have stated - that is just for shipping.

No way shipping from Florida is going to be anywhere near that much.

Plus the ones in Florida will not be "custom" made to order - they will be pre-made so that should help the price as well.

So, overall the price should be great for us in the US, finally.

Was just on the site trying to put something together for my next build A 300-400g was looking at the sample set 5c I really like it but could not get a shipping price on the site. If you guys are correct about the shipping cost then that means it will cost me over 5000 US for the sump ?

Onelove.

The site will not quote you on shipping. Unfortunately, the German website doen't calculate crated weight let alone the various shipping options from Germany to the US. Unlike domestic shipping that can be obtained via various web applications, those applications don't exist for international freight. Also, there is door to door service and airport to airport. Shipping can range from a handful of hundreds of dollars to your nearest major international airport to over $1000 door to door. The shipping quotes are handled direct through Germany. If you know exactly what you want we can get a quote going but keep in mind that the factory is moving this summer and there is a temporary moratorium on new custom Dreamboxes as a result. It's likely to be a few months before any new custom Dreamboxes ship.

Hey, if you would, let me know what they are stating the total cost and shipping charge is - because the 5c is also one that I am looking at.
