Costly
West TX- WRONG- about the LED's being costly anyways. In one to two years, my LED's already paid for themselves when you think about buying replacement bulbs.

Sure- there are exspensive LED's out there. Some people just insist on spending a lot of money, on something either superior, of often identical that is much less $. See the link below for the LED's I'm using.

im on the fence about leds or t5. not enough room for halides, plus trying to keep cost down.
thanks
I'm using full spectrum/dimmable LED's from this link, I've PAR metered them myself- and highly recommend them.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This was the link I've saved, and is now a similar light that probably performs the same as mine- for $99 shipped per light? How could you go wrong?

Looking very nice to me. I have just completed my 180 in wall build. So now the fun begins. I can only hope to have mine look as good as yours.

I do not have a single coral in the tank as of right now. But I also just added my lights late last week.

Great, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Don't run them at 100% unless they're over 2 ft off, and/or your tank is over 3 ft deep. 50/50% is a good starting point. I'm running 70/35 %

Thanks, you may have seen that my 180 has been up only 3 months? But, I did transfer a pretty full 125g into it.
Go slow, start with small frags, be patient, in a few years, it'll look better the mine looks now.

I LOVE the skimmer. When I got it- it was ~$95 shipped to my doorstep! It was great on my 125DT- that probably had about 140gallons TWV, now onh my current 180DT with 125sump, I"m probaBLY AT ~260G twv- Still seems to wrok well, easy to adjust(rarely needs an adjustment), and is pulling great skim.

Are you sure about that link to amazon.com? The EVERGROW Dimmable Aquarium Coral Reef LED Grow Light (165W Output, full spectrum) lights are listed as "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."

I'm not sure I understand the question.
Is the tank drilled?- I drill 3 holes if I were drilling them- Mine came with 2 holes near the top corner- perfect for me to install my own C2C.

I'd put the bottom glass low enough where you can just get an elbow PVC in there, and the vertical glass from the back so you can get the elbow in there.
MIne is about 4.5inches high, and 4.5" front to back.

Research this ALOT before you do anything.

Will do! The tank was predrilled when I got it. They drilled it for 1" bulkheads though

3x 1" would work

You wouldn't need as large of an overflow as mine, smaller elbows on 1".

Mine came drilled with 2 x 1.5"

Comments on the last photo group? Suggestions?

ONe of my favorite is the pic showing the wide land I have along the 6ft pane behind the rocks, so that the fish have 2 x 8ft pane to swim down, do laps, figure 8's, etc.
