After this vid... I stopped running a filter sock... I do run a mesh bag once in a while.. the holes are about 1/32 of an inch.. that way pods and whatever can flow through.. but waiste gets caught

Very true.. but.. my reef is still young.. and corals are pretty small... enough gets through the mesh still... well I think so at least

Too bad xenia don't have mouths to eat the waiste.. I am running a xenia fuge.. they cover half the 49 gallon bow front tank..and spreading like wild fire... super trippy to see in person
