Strange growth on Derasa mantle

Not sure what to make of this. Got this guy from DD today. He seems perfectly healthy: good mantle extension, reacts well, no snails, and he can close up all the way. But I just noticed this strange growth on his mantle.

It looked like some worm at first but it is certainly part of his mantle. Is this anything to be concerned about? I did notice that my other derasa has a small protrusion on his mantle as well, but it is much stubbier and wider. This one is a thin filament. Not really sure what to make of this.

Can you get a less blue picture? I cannot really see anything in that one.
