Question about possible function
Hi.
I'm considering trying to automate my ZeoVite reactor with a pneumatic, run off a solenoid powered by a CO2 tank. The solenoid would run on 110V and I'd need to control that solenoid to control the pneumatic going in and out to do the shaking of the rock in the ZeoVite reactor. (If it makes any difference I could get the solenoid in 12V or 24V also). What I'm curious about is can I control the outlet on an EB8 to turn on/off by the second. So ... what I'm thinking is have it turn on for 1 second (that would bring the rock up) the off for one second (return the rock to the normal lowered position). I think doing this on 1 or 2 second intervals (I'll have to experiment with the pneumatic to see what is best) over a 1 or 2 minute period once a day would do the trick. Is this possible? Thanks for the help. PorkChop |

A quick update, this would be on a new Apex, so a EB 832.

Without consideration to the life of the solenoid or the switch port, sure. That's what the OSC command was made for.
Fallback OFF OSC 000:00/000:02/000:02 Then ON If Time 12:02 to 11:59 then OFF That would turn the outlet on for two seconds, then off for two seconds, for two minutes beginning at noon everyday. |
