Looks like a fun time creating that aquascape, nice to have some acroholics to share the experience with. I'll be watching this develop with keen interest......
BTW what are the local fish shops like with acro in your country? Do you get some good shipments in from Australia?

Thanks Yeah it's nice to get some help with the scape. My friend is always the brain in my scapes

I came back from a two week holiday in the US on tuesday. Got back to a tank full of algae. Yesterday I bought more turbo snails and a tiny yellow tang to help clean out some of the algae. I had a great time in the US and I was so lucky that I got the opportunity to meet a fellow Acroholic in Los Angeles. I also got some new frags. Thanks again Nick, really nice to meet you and your amazing tank!

Here are my new mates (pictures taken the day after 24 hour transit, sorry for the poor quality. First shots after I got the new lamp so colours are a bit off).

I really hope these survive. Looking really good so far. 17 frags in total (had to mount 4 to the reef since they broke of the plug in transit).

Acropora Valida (called Grape Vine)

ASD Rainbow Millepora

Acropora Turaki (Hawkins Echinata)

Pink Lemonade, a sort of A. Microclados I guess

Acropora Tortuosa (Mother of Pearl), not looking to good, started loosing tissue the morning after I came back.

Acropora Awi (Red Dragon)

Acropora Tortuosa (Cali Tort)

Acropora Latistella (Bali Shortcake)

From left to right, "Green Lantern, "Limeade" and an unknown.

Acropora Millepora (Vivid's Fire Garden)

Acropora Millepora (Sapphire), this also lost some tissue.

Sold as an Acropora Lokani, but I believe it's a Caroliniana.

This is called "Emerald on Fire". No clue what Acropora it is yet.

Vivid's Tierra Del Fuego, was really sad when I saw that the tissue was peeling off

The infamous Red Robin Staghorn

Looking really forward to see these grow and get their colours back

This is called Emerald on Fire

Acropora Valida called Grape Vine

I think this may be a Micraclados or something, this is called Limeade

Unknown Acropora

Pink Lemonade

Sapphire Milli, this has not lost any more tissue since last week

Stag of some kind called Green Lantern

Heres an update. Sorry for the colour on the photos. I have to calibrate white balance on the camera and didnt bother spending too much time in ps.

Staghorn "Green lantern". This has developed a nice base on the plug!

A. Sp. "Emerald on fire".

Sorry for the quality in this shot. The "Sapphire" Millepora is doing great. No more tissue loss so far!

Think this is a Microclados. Called "Limeade".

The "Pink lemonade" is starting to get a nice base colour!

The Vivid "Tierra del fuego" isn't looking great. But still alive.

"Hawkins Echinata" looking good.

A. Caroliniana.

"Cali Tort". A. Tortuosa.

Unknown.

"Mother of pearl" still alive.

"Red robin stag". Not red atm hehe. This has starten to pale out a bit the last days after I took the picture. Not too happy about that.

"Vivids Fire Garden".

"Bali shortcake" starting to get some colour at the tips!

"ASD Rainbow Milli".

Here's a picture to compare growth. This is A. Valida "Grape vine". The bottom picture is 17 days ago. Not too bad regarding the long transport!

Thanks Matt! I think they were in bags almost 26 hours (without heatpack). I was hoping that 50% would make it so I'm pretty happy!

Here's an update from my young reef. I have struggled with cyano and lost a couple of corals. But now things are finally starting to look good again. Coralline algae is finally starting to grow and the cycle is finally settling in. In the cycling I've lost a couple of frags and a large aussie colony. All corals has been bleached and are finally now starting to get some color back and some growth.

Here's a couple of pictures from some of the corals in the system.

Acropora Tortuosa (Mother of Pearl). This has had a good comeback from tissue necrosis.

Bali Shortcake

Vivids Tierra Del Fuego

Red Robin. I'm so glad this survived. Can't wait for more growth and color!

Acropora Turaki (Hawkins Echinata)

Pink Lemonade

Acropora Millepora (Sapphire Milli). Sorry for the poor quality. This will hopefully become blue.

Acropora Tortuosa (Cali Tort)

Green Aussie stag

Vivids Fire Garden

Good to see you posting again. Sometimes th3 tanks don't progress as well as we hope but it looks like things are getting better.

What is your fishlist for this tank?

Yeah I've just let the tank settle inn by itself. When the cyano started to take over I took a cure with Chemiclean (half dose). That worked very well.

I dont have a large fish list yet. But this is mye algae crew:

Ctenochaetus Hawaiiensis
Salarias Ramosus
Zebrasoma Flavescens

More pictures:

Acropora sp. Not sure what this is. This is the frag that has had most growth the last months.

I think this is a Microclados. Bought as "Limeade".

Acropora Sarmentosa

Acropora Caroliniana

Aussie Micromussa

Aussie Fungia

Aussie Favia

Aussie Chalices

Hi Nick! Thanks! How are you and the tank doing? Great to hear from you.

Do you know what Acropora this is? It's one of the two I got extra. But can't remember what the mother colony looked like.

This is what it looked like when I got it (top right)

A reef in the North -133G sps/lps

Tank looked much better when you saw it, I've neglected it for 4 months, a lot of corals grew really big though. Now I'm back at it.

I still can't believe you took those frags across the world. Haha

I forgot the actual name, but I call it a green eye unicorn, it's just like Bali shortcake but with bright green polyps.

I'm also impressed you brought those frags so far!
They are looking good.
Nice new additions!
