Is this a nps gorg?

Got this guy today on the low low because as you can see he needs some tlc. Almost sure that this is an nps gorg but not 100%
Any help deciding would be great.
Also while we are on the subject as you can see there is a lot of tissue loss going on. Do you think it will grow back with stable parameters and a healthy diet or am I just better of fragging the crap out of it and saving the pieces?

Photosynthetic gorg...I would frag if I were you...

Agree it's a photosynthetic sp and I would frag the good parts off. It might regrow over the dead parts but it's more likely these dead bits will attract algae. These are a pretty easy species that should grow well.

Veeeeerry nice, That makes life much easier. I already have one photosynthetic gorg that is doing just great.
I was thinking I would have to frag it out. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to because it would be such a large beautiful piece.

That species will regrow much faster over the exposed branches rather than regrowing new branches after fragging it. I vote for giving it good flow, good lighting and let it recover on its own.

Frag it. There's too many dead areas, and it's dying from the base and from the tips so really no hope if you leave it.

I would also dose the tank regularly with Korallen-Zucht ZEOvit Sponge Power. I've found that it helps gorgonians recover from tissue loss.
