RODI Faucet Adapter

OMG!!!!!

What I thought would be standard and easy on the list of to do’s has turned into a nightmare. Moved and need to make water to fill my tank and the
aerators on my taps in this house are the hidden cache aerators.

Managed to get the aerators out without the key (just used 2 forks) but now the old faucet attachment won’t screw into this one. Anyone come across this before?

Temporarily u can just hook the rodi up straight to the valve. Just turn the valve off, unhook the faucet hose & install the rodi. The only issue is I believe the fitting that comes with most rodi units are 1/2” & most sink faucet valves are 3/8”. So u would have to get a 3/8” by 1/2” faucet hose & use a 1/2” nipple to install the rodi fitting to the hose.

If u want to leave to rodi hooked up permanently. U can do the same as above & buy a splitter for the valve. It just screws on to the valve & gived u two outlets. So u can install the sink faucet & the rodi.

The PO has this for under the sink you will need extra parts to make it work
https://www.homedepot.com/p/3-8-in-x...6X-P/202495893

BRS has this
https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/mur-l...apter-kit.html

Ace has this
Add -a-Tee 3/8 - 3/8 - 1/4 #4308995

Compression Sleeve 1/4 Delrin #41284

Compression Insert 1/4 Brass #41288 (you need this to keep the 1/4 plastic tube from collapsing)

Compression Nut 1/4 Brass # 41222

A good plumbing supply will have T fitting for under the sink with a shut off valve built in for when your not using your RO/DI.

I went to Home Depot with everything I had, spoke to the most knowledgeable person there for plumbing and together we could not find something to work with the faucet I have. So... I gave up, and managed to find the hose adapter that BRS provides, bought the RODI 6+ years ago so I thought with moving twice I surely had lost it.

Anyway, that’s temporarily what I’m going to use, when get sorted I’m going to install a utility sink and plumb the RODI outlet into the feed for that.

Thanks for the help anyway guys, for reference it was a MOEN EVA faucet, looks nice, but why the hell they make it so difficult to switch out the simple aerator god only knows.

What lapin posted was connections for under the sink, to hard plumb it. Are you wanting to attach it to the faucet? sort of a quick disconnect?
