Good idea, but i think direct light from outside will case a lot of unnecessary algae in the tank.

I thing you have to concentrate a lot on tank lighting.

Yes Bro, external overflow….

Overflow boxes will be totally out. The water level is adjusted as 5 cm inside the tank, and will drain from 40 x 2 sided Routed teeth in acrylic (You will see how it will be congregate with overflow), and will drain in the boxes. Herbie super silent overflow drain I used in the boxes. (UPDATE will come soon)

My planned is to use 100% area inside the tank for better flow and aquascaping.

Hey sayed,

work is killing me !

The zoos are doing great.... Have you had the chance to frag that bird nest yet?

When are you going to silicon the tank?

Syed,

If you are going to use an external glass overflow box shouldn't you silicone it to the back panel before spray painting it because of adhesion issues ? Or are you going to use a ready made overflow box ?

Sorry for late reply guys.
Mounda,
.. You are right.

I realized after beck panel get painted.... Coloring the back glass with external overfloe is my first esperience. That adhesion issue will be there when overflow boxes going to be silicon on the back glass.

The person who silicone the tank, got the solution. I will post the photos when it’s glued on coming Thursday.

Any suggestion from anyone????

Did not get any chance to frag the bird Nest, even the glass of existing tank is too much dirty, no time for cleaning and maintenence. Even no water changes this week.

Just concentrating new tank.

You know how difficult this is.

Anyway, I got god quality of Plastic Elastomer Foam to put under the tank. Quite good stuff.

The Tank has been silicone this Thursday. Shortly you will see the update.

dude, u stopped posting on MASUAE come back

its got a new address now www.masuae.org

and about ur setup, GO BIGGER on the return or else u'll end up topping of everyday
also the skimmer, think about the octopus extreme or the super reef octopus both of which are better than the needlewheel octo
go with either the sicce pump or the bubble blaster, the bubble blasters are beasts and perfect for ur tank, the sicce is what I have and I love it, but I've only got a 75g

oh and lastly, for the plumbing look at the durso for reducing noise from the overflow
the way u have it (straight pipes) makes a lot of noise.
otherwise u can just use two 90degree elbows to make a durso which is also good (not sure if this works 100%)
u have lots of space so rather than TWO overflows, go with one coast to coast, look it up here on RC and you will see what I mean

Hi KKil4life,
Thanks you for your posting and valuable suggestions. I am facing problem to login in MASUAE. Couple of days before I send a request to Moderator, until today I didn’t receive any reply so no posting.

I want to start my 300G thread on MASUAS as well but cannot login.

LOL….. here YOU NEED just little understanding that, whatever the volume of water will return by the pump in the main tank the same volume will drain in the sump….. lol.

BTW I already ordered Tunze top off (3155.000 Osmolator Universal) Hope it will work according Manufacturer promises.

Lol again….. In my existing 120G tank, I am using Weipro 2014 with successful result. What about DNWB-200 needle wheel, it will not work…… lol. Nothing is perfect for any system. My understanding is installing an expensive equipment is not the key of success, you just have to understand that what you are doing.

Stay Tune. You will see more update.

The plumbing Diagram is showing the route of water. I will defiantly post all the photos of equipment, which I will use in any step.

I am using Herbie super silent overflow drain. . . .. . After long observation and research, me, A.G. (Ahmed) and Nick came on conclusion to use Herbie super silent overflow, which is 100% safe and no voice at all.

Regarding Overflow, See the reefbum thread or his article http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/...e-success.html

I got excellent information on his post.

My HAT is down for ReefBum (Keith)
