New Pump
just a little update on the 125g.
My Eheim Compact 5000 return pump started really making a lot of noise recently so I swapped out and put in the Iwaki MD40RLT Pump that I had purchased on Ebay a while back. Took a couple of minor plumbing modifications but got it in and running. Not quite as quiet as I had hoped for but much better than the Eheim. It doesn't rate as many GPH as the Eheim but it seems more powerful. max head on the Iwaki is about 21 vs 10 on the Eheim. I guess that's really what makes the difference gotta take the Eheim a part and see. maybe just needs a good cleaning. It's been running two years now.

Pump
Well I changed pumps again. Iwaki just too noisy for the living room. Put in a Sicce Syncra 5.0.
