6095 Sparking
When I plug the 6095 into the outlet or strip it has begun sparking. It is working perfectly fine. There is a bit of stray electricity that I have isolated to the unit. What should I do. Nothing has gotten wet.
Thanks for any assistance. |

I would inspect the pump cable for any damage where it is submerged. Some sparking when the plug is plugged into an outlet can be normal when it is being plugged in due to contact issues, but it should not spark once connected. Typically if their was a current leak or major issue it would trip a GFI.

Thanks Roger, I’ll take a look at the cable. I’ve since placed a grounding probe in the tank. I’ll have an electrician add a GFI. I’ll keep you posted if I need to return the pump for your inspection.
