Alpha 200 manufacturing

I just purchased a alpha 200 and was wondering why would vertex use yellow glue on the flange to body and then white on the rest. Is this normal? Also I have glue residue on the neck of skimmer cup.

Royal Exclusiv no longer makes these skimmers for Vertex. Instead they have having them made "elsewhere". As such, your guess is as good as mine but it would appear that the quality may not be the same as those produced by RE in Germany.

I am not sure who is making them for Vertex now. They could be made in China but I am not 100% sure.
