You will regret putting one in a 300g

Wait until it gets larger and kills off all of the other tank mates one by one. There are many accounts of this happening in tanks that aren't huge (1000g+)
Don't say I didn't warn you, no way one should be put in a 180g

I second Dmorty217, if it were me I'd stay away because of how aggressive they are. A friend of mine had one in his 700 peacefully for years and then one day it decided that the other fish were not worthy of life and went absolutely nuts on everything in the tank until he finally manged to get it out. Just my 2 cents, if you do get one I hope it proves me wrong and you have that gorgeous and, with any luck, peace loving tang for a very long time.

i had one about 5 years ago. Pushing a foot long with streamers. Honestly never bothered anything. Was in a fairly large tank with a shark, ray, and some other good sized mildly aggressive fish. Sounds like mine was abnormally peaceful from most of the stories I read about that. Good looking fish though but thats my first hand experience with one!
