Tou can use something refered to as a spreader bar. This will gain you the height lost by the triangular cable condition.

Something that looks like this http://www.lkgoodwin.com/more_info/m...ing_beam.shtml

You can make your own cheaply with a piece of steel - T, tube, channel, angle even pipe. Just drill equal holes at the ends and a dead center hole and then use some eyebolts.

So jealous! Sorry, if I missed it but what were the dimensions on the tank? And what is that your tank is sitting on? Also, what is underneath your tank? Just concrete for support?

Thanks for the compliments...

The tank dimensions are 9ft x 4ft x 30"

The tank is sitting on a tubular steel stand and it's covered with quartz 8" wide lip

The tank is sitting on concrete slab

No that is a quartz with an extended edge that's giving the illusion of 6" thickness

How are you handling all of the humidity coming off of that beauty?

The tank came with lids that cover the whole top which I will leave on there...I will sacrifice some light but not having humidity in the house is important to me

Banggai cardinals
Orange shoulder Tang

Any thoughts on other fish that might be a good addition?? Keep in mind I don't care for fish that are high maintenance and they need to be reef safe.

Put the tang in last and the copperband butterfly and regal in first, wait until the copperband and the regal eating normal then add all other fishes.

I would put a half dozen royal grammas in...get a nice harem going. I think a dozen or so chalk bass would look pretty cool. I have 10 and they are very low maintenance, stay out in the open and stay loosely together.
