Moth Ball Smell from QT - please help
I have had several acropora frags in a my QT for over 3 weeks. Everything was going well until today. I noticed that one of them was RTN. There was some light foam on the surface, but not too much. To my surprise the water smelled funny. The smell reminded me of moth balls.
Have you ever heard of anything like that? |

No, but I would try some water changes, and try to remove any surface film that remains. Sometimes, paper towels help with removing surface film. Also, some activated carbon might be useful. Is there any medication in the system? If so, the activated carbon might remove it.

Done that. Thank you.
I am pretty good in going by smell and this was just something I never smelled before. |
