Have you experienced any problems with scratches on your acrylic tank? What do you use to remove coralline algae build up?

I use the tunze strong plus and it's work ok for softer algae. The key to acrylic is u need to clean more often and don't let Coraline algae grow too thick. As far as scratch it's not avoidable however u can minimize by using the tunze cleaner and go slow however if there are scratch u can use 2000 grit fine sand paper and remove the scratch even with water.
I chose acrylic because my tank is bigger than 300g. Glass silicon can only hold best if the volume is below 300g. But for piece of mind Acrylic is much stronger bond than glass especially now with all the new wave maker moving water back and forth creating a lot of stress on the seam. Glass silicon will get harder as it age and have more chance for leaking. Between a little scratch and 360g of water on the floor I take acrylic over glass anyday.
