Pump Restart

Ok. Not sure what the heck is going on. We lost power tonight. I have a standby generator so when power goes out it fires up automatically. When the power went out the generator fired up and the tank restarted like normal on the generator. For some reason when the power came back on my pump was running but was not pumping water. I had to unplug and wait a little bit then when I plugged it back in it started pumping again. I have a blueline external pump. Any guidance is appreciated.

How old is the pump? How often do you service it? I am not completely familiar with this particular one, but I have seen externals that were not serviced well get into a vibrating standstill after power was cut.
