Temperate locale-specific reef tank

Hi all! I am new to the forum and not entirely new to the hobby but just got back into it recently.

I am moving into my new place (in Singapore) in a few months and I am tossing around ideas of having a temperate reef tank built into my living room wall as a divider to the adjacent room. It would be a peninsula style tank and I am looking to have it be at least 6ft x 2.5ftx 2.5ft if not 7 x 3 x 2.5.

The general idea of stocking and theme-ing would be species of livestock that come from the Izu peninsula in Japan or something similar. The idea stemmed from the desire to keep the Izu Catshark and dragon morays. Probably stocked with other predatory fishes or fishes that would be too large to fit in their mouths (i.e garibaldi) and some inverts like anemones and gorgonians. Macro algae too.

Izu catsharks are one of the smallest species of catsharks that require colder water and they do well in captivity apparently and breed often in home aquaria.

My questions to more experienced reefers are, what are the challenges that come along with wanting to create such a setup and perhaps maybe stocking ideas because i cant really find a good resource for livestock in that area. I have plans to engage someone to custom make the tank and do the install. I understand this is costly venture, but it is something i am willing to make happen despite that.

Constructive criticism is most welcome and desired. Thanks in advance!

Even for a small shark the tank you are proposing is rather tiny. Obviously you will require a chiller to control water temperature in a place like Singapore, but you would do well to match it with a constant lower air temperature, which is more effective than a chiller for maintaining water temperature. As for stocking such rare beasties, I would think you would want to go directly to Japan for suppliers, as I am unaware of anyone else making these available.
