Yep, Its not as colorful as when I had the female, but since its blind, once and awhile it flashes up on an anthia or two; too each its own

Dan, if you are going to add another female, I would suggest adding two new female at the same time. IME when just adding one there has been fighting. I have lost a few by doing this. With two new additions you can spread the aggression out. The existing wrasse will most like turn super male fast and be aggressive. JMO .

Well started a few days ago noticed that one of my colonies had some damaged tips now I’m having issues w/two colonies. I hoping it’s because of the bulb change even though I acclimated the tank over the course of a week. The only other change is that I took the calcium reactor offline for a week while it was cleaned and refilled. No other colonies seemed to be affected; I hope that this is not a trend. You can’t get Pook Gai via RC can you?

Dan, is it just your tips? How fast did you acclimate your new lights? I try to do that over a 3-4 week period. What bulbs did you go with? Did you change out your T5's as well as your halides?

Geeze Dan,
I hope you don't get the "mystery" bug or whatever it is that poor Kenny has??? Hope it's just a lighting issue that can be more easily dealt with!

To lessen the aggression I have learned that adding two at a time spread the aggression out. This gives the newly add fish a better chance to settle in. Once the fight slows down one of the wrasses will become dominate (mostly likely the existing). After that the change from female to sub-male to super male is fast.

Forgot to add that sub male to super male doesn't always happen. Sometime one will never take on dominance and you may end up with two sub-male or one that goes back and forth.
