Skimmer for Waterbox Peninsula Mini 25

Skimmer question for my Peninsula Mini 25. Which one would you prefer?

Tunnel 9001 or IceCap K-1 or something else.

I'd go for the Tunze- it looks like a smaller footprint for your tank. They appear to be about equally rated otherwise.

I recommend running a media basket vs a filter sock. I have a sponge and polyester filter floss in the first chamber. I change the filter floss every 4 days but it will depend on your bioload ( I have 4 fish and feed small amounts 3x a day). The sponge gets replaced once a month. In the second chamber I have cheato on a reverse schedule running 6 hours at night. I grow it with a tunze submersible fuge light. I harvest once a month but very little is pulled out and I mostly rinse it out from detritus. Lastly, water changes of 10% every week. Very simple and probably takes no more then 20 min a week for maintenance. Let me know if you need pictures.
