my move / upgrade to 55g

I moving on Saturday 12/23, IM moving my tank on 12/24 I currently have a 10g Nano and a 20g Nano. I will be upgrading to a 55g at the new place. The 20g has 40lbs of Live rock, no corals, a true perc, and a Blenny. My 10g has 20lbs of Lr, a false Perc, Urchin, Zoa's Branch hammer, Shrooms a finger leather and Umbrella Leather. All of this will be combined to setup my new 55.

My Plan

Thursday

Remove LR from 20g Place into a Cooler with a Spare light and a power head.
Place the True Perc in 10g.
This tank will be my sump.

Friday

Pack trailor for Saturday move

Saturday

Unload Trailor

Setup 55g tank and Sump add 20g of water and a powerhead.

Sunday (the Move)

Remove coral and fish from 10g place in buckets with tank water.
Remove LR from 10g place in Buckets with new Saltwater.
Take tank down
Add all live rock, Coral and Fish with new and old water to new tank.

Any suggestions would be great.

How long can i go with out lighting?

i would say your plan should work good as is, but be sure to have plenty off saltwater mixed up before hand for the 55g, the best way would be to set up the 55g before the move but that may not be feasable

I did the exact same thing as you 6 months ago but mine was being moved from my 20g and 10g due to a crack in my 10g. I would definetly recomend that you get the 55 all setup first befor moving anything. Due to my rushing i didnt have the sump plumbed or anything like that befor i started moving. In fact i didnt even have a stand yet made one quickly befor i moved everything. I think the plumbing after everything in the tank was the biggest PITA. Other then that it wasnt to bad. Also have lots of water mixed up and i would recommend putting ur sand and water in the tank a couple hours befor u start moving the live rock over. Just makes aquascaping that much easier when u can see.

thanks for the advice, the plumbing with me done before i move this week so i don't see that as a problem. I'll have about 40g of extra water made up.

Live rock should be fine over night with water a heater and a powerhead in the cooler. The fish should also be fine but make sure u have a heater in there and some flow.
